No Spiritual effect? Not getting a "Spiritual" effect? If you have consumed alcohol within the last eight hours, you may want to wait, as the effects are often not noticed if you still have any left in your system. On the other hand, I've had several reports that the water "wipes out an alcohol buzz". Drugs may also keep it from working. SSRIs, MAOIs, Adderol, aspartame, and colloidal metals are often factors with those who don't get a "spiritual" feeling from it. Other factors in individual body chemistries may affect it as well. Some have reported it took a week to "kick in"- this is not typical. A lack of the VMAT2 gene1 may also prevent a spiritual response in some cases, I suspect. Persons with low temporal lobe sensitivity probably will not feel a spiritual effect. If your belief system precludes it, you can't perceive it anyway. If you've never had a spiritual experience, don't bother to try it- this is probably not the solution to that problem. If you are an atheist, for example, you probably won't feel a spiritual effect.2
